Just downloaded a ton of Steely Dan
And I can’t sleep and I need to get up for work in two hours. I feel pensive and restless and anxious. I feel like I’m running on empty promises. I feel like I’m dead and everyone else is alive. I feel like things are really different now and not in a good way. But also just very slow. And just feeling like things keep stalling out and sputtering off into nothing. I’m tired when I should be energized and up when I should be asleep. At night I dream of Laura.

Rape is a precarious topic, in that how can one safely argue a point that even remotely errs on the defense or justification of the act whether hypothetical or actual? It’s a tricky counterpoint that will generally make you, the defense look real damn rapey. In the context of story telling and artistic license no topic should be off limits, however, when you bring up a topic as problematic as rape, as a man, the first thing you want to do is not brag about raping a woman, especially when your core audience consists of women and children.

Here’s where Ross messed up; he should have disassociated himself from the act in his narrative inferring a cautionary tale about the dangers of being drug raped at the club. He went first person where he should have gone third person, i.e.:

What he should have said is:
